The existing easement portion to be removed contains approximatley 38.62 acres located on Tax Map 30, Parcel 223 and 398 known as Parsons Lake Drive, Salisbury, MD, as shown on a plat entitled "Parson's Lake Subdivision". The removed of 4.99 acres of the Forest Conservation Easement will be relocated in an approved forest mitigation bank and 33.63 acres will be relocated on-site at at 1:1 ratio.

Press Release: Candidates Sought for Wicomico County Executive - the Wicomico County Council regretfully announces the passing of the County Executive, Bob Culver, on July 26, 2020. 

The County Charter states that when a vacancy in the Office of County Executive occurs after the first 12 months of a term, the vacancy shall be permanently filled by resolution with a majority vote of the members of the County Council, within 45 days after the vacancy occurs. Each of the nominees must be of the same political affiliation as his or her predecessor at the time of the executive’s most recent election and shall possess the same qualifications for office as provided in Charter Section 405, which are as follows:

  • Be a resident and qualified voter of the county for at least five years immediately preceding the appointment.
  • Must be 25 years of age at the time of appointment
  • May not hold any other office of profit in federal, state, county or municipal government during the term in office
  • The County Executive is not eligible for appointment to any compensated county office or position, except as a County Council member, for one year after the termination of the term in office.
