2011-01-Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems
Bill 2011-01 was an act to amend Chapter 117 of the Wicomico County Code, titled "Building Construction" Section 117-5, titled "Modifications and amendments to code" to amend the Building Code for Wicomico County to delete the requirement of automatic fire systems in one and two family dwellings.
Bill 2011-03 was an act to amend Chapter 197, entitled “Streets and Addressing System”, adding section 197-3.1 entitled, “Mailbox and Incidental Damage Policy” to add a provision that will allow for the adoption and incorporation of a Wicomico County mailbox and incidental damage policy.
The Annual Budget and Appropriation Bill of Wicomico County, Maryland to adopt the county budget, consisting of the current expense budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012, the Capital Budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012, the Governmental and Enterprise Funds budgets for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012; and to appropriate funds for all expenditures for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011, and ending June 30, 2012, as hereinafter indicated.
Bill 2011-05 was an act to amend Chapter 197, titled "Streets and Addressing System," by the addition Article VI, titled "School Zones and Speed Monitoring Systems" sections 197-36, titled "School Zones," and 197-37, titled "Speed Monitoring Systems," to permit the establishment of school zones and authorize the use of speed monitoring systems in accordance with State Law.
Bill 2011-06 was an act to amend Chapter 90, entitled "Tax Exemptions," Section 90-5, titled "Homestead property tax credit," to reduce the homestead credit percentage for the taxable year beginning July 1, 2012 pursuant to the power and authority contained in Section 9-105 of the Tax-Property Volume of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1986 Volume as amended).
Bill 2011-07 was an act to amend Chapter 125 of the Wicomico County Code, titled "Critical Area Resource Protection" to implement program amendments determined necessary, by the Critical Area Commission, during the review required by Natural Resources Article, Title 8, Waters, Subtitle 18, Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Protection Program, Section 8-1809 (g), amending and/or adding the following sections: ARTICLE I, titled General Provisions, Section 125-1, titled "Purpose; authority", Section 125-3, titled Applicability, Section 125-7, titled Definitions and word usage, ARTICLE III, titled Development Standards, Section 125-14, titled ADensity, ARTICLE V, titled "Growth Allocation; Classification Changes", Section 125-30, titled "Location criteria", Section 125-34, titled "Process", ARTICLE VI, titled AVariances, Section 125-36, titled Bases for grants, Section 125-38, titled AConditions, ARTICLE VII, titled "Amendments", Section 125-39, titled "Amendment regulations generally", and ARTICLE IX, titled Legal Provisions, Section 125-46.1, titled "Reasonable accommodation for the needs of disabled citizens", Section 125-48, titled Violations and penalties and Section 125-49, titled "Reviews, permits, approvals, special exceptions or variances related to a violation of the critical area program".
Bill 2011-08 was an act to reorganize functions among the Department of Public Works and the Department of Planning, Zoning and Community Development; and to shift the function of risk management from Human Resources to the Executive Office under the Purchasing Agent.
