Releasing Personal Property
Inmates may release all of their personal property by submitting a Property Release Form. This form must be signed by the inmate, the property receiver, and a witness. The receiver must provide a picture identification at the time of pick up. Personal property releases can be picked up Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. You may call 410-548-4850 ext. 324 prior to coming to the facility to ensure that the property release form has been received.
Inmates being transferred to the
Maryland Division of Correction are permitted to take a limited amount of property with them. Therefore, he / she must complete a Property Release Form and his / her Release Form and the remainder of his / her property must be picked up within 30 days. After 30 days, his / her property will be disposed of in accordance with departmental policy.
Upon release from incarceration, inmates have 30 days to pick up their property. If the inmate will be unavailable to pick up his / her property within 30 days, he / she should complete a property release form prior to his/her release. After 30 days, the property will be disposed of.
