Visitation

The Wicomico County Department of Corrections recognizes that contact with family and friends is beneficial to all inmates.  It strengthens community ties and increases the likelihood of an inmate's successful reintegration into the community.  However, violations of departmental rules and regulations may result in suspension of visitation for a period of time.

Inmates are allowed one (1) 30-minute visit per week with a maximum of two (2) visitors in that 30 minute period.  The inmate has the right to accept or reject a visit.  Visitation is an inmate privilege and may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the Director/Designee.  Visitation hours are subject to be changed/cancelled without notice.

Visitors must have a valid state driver's license or state issued photo I.D.  The information provided will be verified against the Inmate's Visitation List to ensure that only authorized persons are granted a visit with the inmate.  Visitors under the age of 18 are not permitted to visit unless they are the legal spouse of the inmate and can provide a copy of their marriage license.  A warrant check may be conducted prior to your visit.  People who arrive with an authorized visitor but who are not visiting anyone will be required to wait outside of the building.  There are no secure lockers available for visitors so bring only your ID and keys.  Purses, bags and cell phones are not allowed in the building.

Please follow the Visitation Schedule, Visitor Dress Code, General Visiting Rules, and Restrictions noted below.
