Mission Statement

Wicomico Executive's Fitness Council

The mission of the County Executive's Council on Physical Fitness & Healthy Living is to promote and encourage citizens of all ages throughout Wicomico County to adopt a personal goal of physical activity and responsible living habits to ensure a healthy quality of life.

The Council will seek to publicize the many on-going efforts across the county designed to promote healthy living and to serve as an umbrella organization for important information and strategies available to achieve the goal. A particular emphasis will be placed on methods and opportunities to combat childhood obesity through the awareness campaigns designed to educate and inform about the real risks of heart disease and diabetes.
