Department of Emergency Services

The Department of Emergency Services is made up of three divisions;

The Radio Division, the Communications Division, and the Emergency Management Division.

Each division has its own distinct function which meshes with the other divisions to make a complete multi-functional operation.

The mission of the department is to provide professional quality service to all the citizens of Wicomico County, to reduce loss of life and property, giving each citizen a sense of pride, security and confidence, not only in the strengths and qualities of the department, but that the department will be ready to meet their needs and challenges in any emergency event in the County. Through maximizing and utilizing all resources the Department of Emergency Services is able to effectively and successfully provide services to the citizens of Wicomico County at all times.
