Letters / Packages
Inmates are permitted to receive mail of which is handled according to the
U.S. Postal Service regulations. Mail should be addressed using the inmate’s full name and inmate number. All incoming mail is opened and inspected for contraband. Legal mail is opened in the presence of the inmate.
Pictures of a non-sexual nature may be sent in the mail, however, inmates are only allowed to have five pictures in their possession. All other pictures will be placed in the inmate’s property. No packages will be delivered to inmates.
Books / Magazines / Newspapers
These items are only acceptable provided they are sent directly from the publisher through the U.S. Mail Service. Magazines of a pornographic nature or gang related are unacceptable and will be returned to the publisher. Books must be paperback only -hardbound books are not permitted.
Each inmate may have no more than three books / magazines in their possession at any time. Any additional books / magazines will be put in their personal property.
